Group Consolidation and Reporting Accountant

Our client is looking for a Group Consolidation and Reporting Accountant to join their team, working closely with the Group Finance Manager to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across the organisation.

Duties:

• Prepare monthly group management accounts and group flash reports, including reviewing forecasts.
• Draft and pass monthly consolidation journals, ensuring group intercompany loans are balanced.
• Conduct bi-weekly group cash flow reviews and manage the preparation of the annual group budget.
• Coordinate group banking administration and oversee the review of business tax schedules (provisionals, interim, and final).
• Manage group internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion of subsidiary statutory audits.
• Review head office annual budgets, VAT returns, and trial balances to ensure correct allocation of income and expenses.
• Handle head office payment authorizations and ensure sufficient fixed asset management.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, as well as other finance team members, to maintain compliance with group reporting deadlines and deliverables.
• Address SARS-related queries and review tax computations for provisional, interim, and annual submissions.
• Implement new accounting policies across the group to ensure IFRS compliance and strong corporate governance.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• BCom Honours / CTA
• CA(SA)

• Completed SAICA articles with 2-4 years of commercial experience
• Experience in group consolidation and reporting.
• Self-starter with a strong understanding of financial results and reporting to EXCO.
• SAGE X3 experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in Word and written communication.
• Experience in a group environment is beneficial.
