Group Finance Manager (Consolidations) - CA(SA)

SUMMARY:
Pan African ICT leader is seeking a Group Finance Manager (Consolidations and reporting) who will be instrumental in improving the quality of the Group’s consolidated financial reporting. You will report to the Group CFO, and be charged with developing and implementing best practice processes and systems across the Group

POSITION INFO:

Group Finance Manager (Consolidations & Reporting) - ICT

Pan African ICT leader is seeking a Group Finance Manager (Consolidations and reporting) who will be instrumental in improving the quality of the Group’s consolidated financial reporting.. 

You will report to the Group CFO, and be charged with developing and implementing best practice processes and systems across the Group. You will have an audit background and more recent experience of preparing consolidated financial statements at group level.

You will have excellent command of Microsoft Excel, strong analytical, report writing and communication skills; you will also enjoy problem solving and working under pressure. You must also be resourceful and happy to get involved across the full spectrum of Group finance responsibilities.

You will meet the following minimum requirements

• Degree (Accounting / Finance)
• Qualified CA[SA] (Non negotiable)
• 9+ years post article experience in a senior financial management role with experience in consolidations, financial reporting, and managing a team.
• Experience working in the ICT sector highly desirable
• Solid IFRS Technical knowledge and application
• Should be intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel user (Non negotiable)
• Should be meticulous and capable of communicating on any level
• Membership of a professional body (eg SAICA) is desired
• Must have experience managing medium sized teams

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of a financial nature within the organization that will improve overall operation and effectiveness of the Group.
• Effectively Manage all reporting requirements such as, statutory, AFS, Board, shareholder and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with lender debt covenants and ensure hedging is in place to hedge cost of debt.
• Ensuring that all finance systems and processes are adequately designed to ensure an appropriate control environment and to address all internal audit findings either through specific or process level remedial action.
• Partnering with the business by effectively leading and managing the financial function for the group of Companies
• Assisting in the implementation of systems and processes to support the business.
• Performing ad-hoc financial analysis on the cost and profitability of certain product offerings

• Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Johannesburg (Northern Suburbs).
• Travel: Light travel locally
