POSITION INFO:

A great opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Manager in Treasury. We are ideally looking for a CA(SA). You would need to have dealt with the major banks and insurance, have managed treasury systems and have experience in exchange control. You will be responsible for driving compliance, innovation, and financial strategy across the Group divisions. Responsibilities:

• Ensure group-wide exchange control compliance
• Oversee the compilation and submission of exchange control applications
• Support group strategy
• Ensure alignment with legal, tax, and accounting functions across the group
• Manage general banking facility agreements and review documentation
• Drive investment optimization considering risks and market conditions
• Support the daily cash management and forex trading function
• Prepare and present quarterly Treasury and Finance reports
• Manage Treasury systems
• Drive process optimisation and system standardisation
• Fluctuations, and project consultation on payment terms and liquidity
• Oversee the external audit process across performance areas
• Assist Group Finance Executive and Finance & Treasury teams with ad-hoc projects

Requirements:

• Post graduate qualification advantageous (CIMA, CA or similar)
• 10-12 years related experience of which at least 5 years in a similar or leadership role
• Extensive experience in exchange control compliance in South Africa and Africa
• Very good knowledge and understanding of exchange control and central bank
• Legislations in South Africa and Africa
• Proficient with Advanced skills in MS Office and MS Excel
• Strong skills in Finance and Treasury Management systems
• Extensive experience in external debt replacements and issuing of new debt
• Understanding and working knowledge of the Corporate Investment Banking
• Landscape and Retail Industry
• Proven track record of managing currency risk and optimising foreign exchange
• Transactions
• Proven leadership and team management skills
