SUMMARY:
A high-performing hospitality group, based in Rosebank, is looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Group Accountant / Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified professional ready to step into a fast-paced, high-volume environment where accuracy and commercial insight are key.

POSITION INFO:
This established hospitality and retail-focused group operates in a high-volume transactional environment and requires a finance professional who can manage complexity with precision. The business prides itself on operational excellence, strong financial controls, and continuous growth within the hospitality sector.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to group-level reporting, financial controls, and operational finance within a vibrant industry.

You will work closely with senior finance leadership, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly management accounts at a group level
Full balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management
Assisting with annual financial statements and audit processes
High-volume transaction processing oversight and control
VAT calculations and statutory compliance
Inter-company reconciliations and group reporting support

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- BCom Accounting (completed)
- Completed articles (SAICA / SAIPA / equivalent)
Experience:
- 1–3 years' post-articles experience
- Experience within retail or hospitality environments preferred
- Exposure to high-volume transactional environments essential
- Strong financial reporting capability
Skills:
- Advanced Excel
- ERP system exposure
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Detail-driven with strong internal control awareness
