Group Financial Accountant

A market leading, international and diversified healthcare provider situated in the north of Johannesburg that offers quality service and a spirit of giving to those entrusted to their care, is looking for a new Group Financial Accountant on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

POSITION INFO:
A market leading, international and diversified healthcare provider situated in the north of Johannesburg that offers quality service and a spirit of giving to those entrusted to their care, is looking for a new Group Financial Accountant on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Controller and be responsible for submitting accurate and timeous monthly reports of the financial results to all relevant stakeholders that comply with IFRS, as well as adding significant financial expertise in analysing and reporting management results to the Group.

Duties:

• Evaluate the performance and efficiencies of business units against performance contracts and benchmarks;
• Prepare and analyse financial management reporting information for Executive Management;
• Analyse and interpret monthly revenue to assist in the understanding of the future tariff negotiations;
• Assist in the development of management reports for various departments to better understand business performance;
• Assist in valuations of businesses and projects as well as preparation of financial models for various scenarios;
• Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and the JSE listing requirements;
• Evaluation and application of new IFRS standards when applicable;
• Reporting for various departments on an adhoc basis.

• Bachelor of Commerce: Accounting;
• Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA);
• Matric (Grade 12).

• CA (SA) with 3 years post article experience;
• Good technical IFRS knowledge;
• Relevant commercial experience an advantage;
• Experience in private healthcare or similar industry;
• Knowledge and experience in systems and process improvements;
• SAP knowledge and experience advantageous;
• OneStream knowledge and experience advantageous;
• Advanced Excel experience.
