POSITION INFO:

Group Financial Accountant

Introduction

Our client has an exciting opportunity within the Financial Service space for a Financial Accountant

The incumbent will play a pivotal role in the day to day running assisting the Finance Team

Description

Cashbook and treasury function
Provide close assistance to the Financial Manager
Assisting with the treasury and capital management and regulatory and financial reporting knowledge of group accounting, creditors, annual budgets, tax, consolidated shareholder reporting and supporting broader group strategies and initiatives.

Roles and responsibilities would include:

Handling daily cash/treasury management
Preparation of month journals including, salaries, provisions, accruals, prepayments, investments Preparation and management of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Review of fixed asset register transactions
Managing and maintain the interdivisional charges and intercompany transactions
Monthly investment committee reporting
Banking administration
Assisting with audit requirements, preparation, and collation of documents for audit
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Assist in the preparation of divisional budgets and forecasts
Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements
Involvement in adhoc projects
Provide any further assistance required by the team

Qualifications

CA(SA)

â–ª 1-3 years’ experience

â–ª Sage AccPac preferable

â–ª Strong technical accounting knowledge

â–ª Attention to detail is crucial

â–ª excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) skills

â–ª Able to work well under pressure

â–ª Time management skills essential

â–ª Team player but able to work independently

â–ª Friendly and professional manner

â–ª Confidence in working with people at all levels in a company

â–ª Innate problem solver
