Group Financial Accountant

Our client is looking for a Group Financial Accountant who will be reporting to the Group Financial Controller. The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive, deadline driven, provide great attention to detail, have good problem-solving skills and be able to engage with diverse individuals in different management levels. POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Submitting monthly reports of the financial results to all relevant stakeholders;
• Evaluate the performance and efficiencies of business units against performance contracts and benchmarks ;
• Preparation, analysis and distribution of monthly management reports and trading reviews to the business ;
• Prepare and analyse financial management reporting information for Executive Management;
• Analyse and interpret monthly revenue to assist in the understanding of the future tariff negotiations;
• Identify, analyse, and report on variances against budget for the Group;
• Assist in the development of management reports for various departments in order to better understand business performance;
• Assist in valuations of businesses and projects as well as preparation of financial models for various scenarios;
• Co-ordination and assist with the management of the annual Group budgeting process;
• Maintain standard benchmark analysis in the Group;
• Maintain chart of account as well as all related accounting structures;
• Ensure standard account usage throughout the Group to ensure standard policies and account usage throughout the group;
• Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and the JSE listing requirements;
• Ensure compliance to SARB reporting requirements;
• Preparation of quarterly Reserve Bank and Stats SA surveys;
• Preparation of concise reports for submission to the audit committee;
• Liaising with external auditors;
• Assist in business due diligence investigations;
• Ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 (Matric) ;
• BCom Honours/CTA;
• CA(SA) .

Experience:

• 3 years post article commercial experience;
• Good technical IFRS knowledge;

• Experience in private healthcare or similar industry will be advantageous;
• SAP knowledge and experience is a must;
• OneStream knowledge and experience advantageous;
• Advanced excel experience.
