SUMMARY:
A mining company that has plants across South Africa is looking for a Group Financial Accountant (Reporting) to be based in their Johannesburg offices.

Duties:

Responsible and accountable for consolidations, and managing audits
Responsible for the monthly and annual consolidations including Group closing and consolidation operations, intercompany reconciliation process and quality review of reporting packages
Responsible for the accurate, timely and consistent preparation of IFRS financial statements
Engagement and Management of Internal and External auditors, including fulfilling audit requirements and monitoring deadlines
Support in implementation and development of accounting and/or reporting processes, policies, procedures, and systems to strengthen quality framework and finance knowledge across the organization
Ad-hoc tasks when required

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric – Grade 12
Qualified Chartered Accountant

Experience:

Completed Articles within the BIG4 Audit firms
Min 2 years’ work experience in Finance within the mining industry
Knowledge of IFRS and experience in supporting subsidiaries with IFRS application
Experience with a mining company is NB
Consolidation and reporting exposure is a MUST
