SUMMARY:
A company based in Pretoria seeks a group financial controller who will be responsible for reviewing and processing all regional finance transactions. This position requires a highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated team player who can work under pressure. The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Officer.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements

Degree in accounting or relevant qualification
Completed articles
At least five years’ experience in a financial environment
Significant experience in, or knowledge of, compliance and financial reporting
Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Knowledge of monitoring and procurement processes
Knowledge and experience of accounting software
Strong computer literacy
Clear credit and no criminal record

Duties

Review cash book, accounts payable, accounts receivable and intercompany accounts for regional offices
Process cash book and accounts receivable for Pretoria office
Treasury management
General ledger adjustments and financial accounting
Trial balance and balance sheet reporting and reconciliation
Value-Added Tax
Ensure statutory and internal compliance
Assist with managing year-end audit preparation
