SUMMARY:
Group Financial Controller, CA (SA) with a CISA is preferable for a Group Financial Control position in a top investment company.
We are looking for someone who has strong business process analysis exposure with exceptional attention to detail, and accuracy. Sound IFRS knowledge. Strong reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication. High integrity, principles, and level-headed.

POSITION INFO:
CA(SA) / BCom Information Systems and Business Management
CISA qualification will be beneficial
Experience in group accounting and reporting.
Enforces compliance with cross operations sub-ledger account ownership and substantiation including:
Account ownership assignment within each organization
Implement month-end certification controls including the implementation and rollout of a month-end certification tool across the group.
Test reconciliation/substantiation evidence is attached to the substantiation reporting tool.
Advice on and track remediation plans to strengthen reconciliation and substantiation practices
Maintain senior management reporting and escalation on reconciliation/substantiation control gaps.
Work with account owners to resolve unsubstantiated balances identified during the review process
Maintain administrative ownership of balance sheet substantiation certification tool.
Liaise with the Finance Transformation Specialist and finance teams to implement and track improvements to the balance sheet substantiation certification tool functionality
Identify potential internal control weaknesses.
Ability and willingness to take responsibility for special projects as and when required
