SUMMARY:
Our client is a leading financial services group seeking an experienced Group Financial Manager to oversee group-level financial reporting, consolidation, and month-end processes. The role is critical to ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial information across the group.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing consolidated financial reporting, reviewing group-level processes, supporting month-end close activities, and providing key insights for Exco and Board reporting. This is a hands-on, deadline-driven role that requires technical expertise and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare and present consolidated monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end management accounts and flash results
Provide financial analysis and reporting for Exco and Board meetings

Financial Processing & Review

Review and process group consolidation entries using systems such as Hyperion or equivalent
Allocate and review group-level charges
Review management accounts, balance sheets, tax computations, and expense reconciliations
Oversee cashbook, bank, and intercompany reconciliations

Month-End & Cash Flow Management

Review payroll, accruals, provisions, and fixed asset journals
Ensure accurate monthly cash flow submissions to treasury
Review and authorize payments

Leadership & Coordination

Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team
Coordinate year-end audits and annual budgeting processes
Build strong relationships with business unit Financial Managers to manage group processes efficiently

Requirements & Experience

BCom Accounting / BCompt (Honours)
Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial consolidation
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Hyperion, or equivalent accounting systems
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and business acumen
Proven ability to manage deadlines, work under pressure, and adapt to change
Experience in group consolidations and multi-entity reporting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
