JOB SUMMARY:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the job:

Implementation and monitoring of the ISO standards and procedures in accordance with Regulation requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement and monitor Safety Health Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management strategies and objectives for the company and ensure alignment to internationally recognized standards such as ISO45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001: 2015 in preparation for ISO certification.
  • Drive the automation of the SHEQ processes for receiving risk assessments, tracking and reporting of incidents for the OHS management end-to-end process.
  • Design and establish metrics to measure OHS activities by means of a mySHEQ software and dashboard to enable effective decision making.
  • Take full accountability for the OHS Risk Register to ensure accuracy and mitigation of risk.
  • Report on internal and external stakeholders and suppliers/contractors with regards to Compliance Monitoring findings
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to business following the correct procedures for incident reporting and investigation.
  • Develop monitor and control OHS training.
  • Monthly SHERQ reporting and feedback at MANCO and EXCO.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • To demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the ISO Management System by:

a) Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of himself/herself, others and the workplace.

b) Obeying all stipulated company rules, policies and procedures in compliance to local legislation and ISO Standards.

c) Report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions and threats that comes to his/her attention that may affect persons or the business.

d) Committing to the implementation and maintenance of our ISO Management System.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Formal Education

  • SACPCMPC Registration
  • ISO 45001:2018 Certificate
  • ISO 9001Certficate (added advantage)
  • SAMTRAC or NEBOSH
  • Incident Investigation
  • Covid-19 Risk Assessment Training (added advantage)

Other minimum requirements

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Frequent travel to jobsite will be required (must be willing to travel)
  • Must have knowledge and skill in the proper use of office applications.
