SUMMARY:
Are you a CA(SA) with a focus on Tax? I am on the lookout for a Financial Manager who is skilled in Group Tax for an opportunity to join a large entity that provides great exposure.

POSITION INFO:
The Group Tax Manager will report to the Executive Head: Tax and will have key functions in supporting the business through the utilization of:

In-depth knowledge within their discipline
The ability to solve problems with complexity by taking new perspective on current solutions in place
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
The ability to lead projects or steer project steps within a broader project hold accountability for ongoing activities or objectives
Be willing to act as a resource for peers with less experience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing guidance to the Business Unit Head in the evaluation, development and implementation of Corporate Policy on Tax - Plans, the roll-out of the tax strategy and the determining of the legislation plan
Performing of tax reviews as part of statutory audits and guidelines provided by SARS
Implementing the correct processes on Tax Compliance
Producing management reports on taxation, risk management, tax changes and amendments to legislation and how it impacts the business
Resolving SARS queries/ disputes
Performing of reconciliations of tax accounts with SARS Management and administration of the registration and submission processes of corporate taxes
Facilitation of investigations in reportable arrangements for transactions where tax considerations are involved

Accountabilities:
Ensuring that all Income Tax, VAT and withholding Tax Returns are submitted and paid accurately within the Statutory deadlines

Requirements:

BCom Accounting and Tax
CA(SA) in Tax
8 years of working experience
2+ years within a Management function
Solid experience in corporate and taxation
Experience in Tax and Deferred Tax, Risk Management and Compliance
Experience in a Tax Department, interacting with SARS and Accounting experience
Experience with tax transfer pricing
Project Management experience
