JOB SUMMARY:
HR Manager required for a construction company in the Garden Route area

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This Senior HR Manager role is ONLY open for applications who is part of the EXCO committee and currently reporting to an MD.

This position requires a minimum of 15 years experience with at least 5 years Senior Management experience within the built environment and you will have a firm understanding of all IR/HR Management functions and duties

Extended Duties:

Ultimate responsibility for the organizations performance in terms of full HR Management role:
  • Leading and managing a team of four Human Resource members and responsible for the annual HR Plan and Budget.
  • Talent Management - Recruitment and selection of new staff on all levels, Induction of new members, Contract renewals and compiling new contracts of employment, Managing of promotions, Monitoring, Succession planning and Career paths. Ensuring that there is a talent pool available for future needs.
  • Performance Management Co-ordination and Administering of quarterly Performance Appraisals, Compiling and updating Job descriptions.
  • Advising Line Managers on Performance counseling.
  • Training & Development, Conduct regular training needs assessments within business unit, - Implement necessary training interventions across business unit - Analyze, assess and report on the effectiveness of training conducted - Maintain accurate training records, - Adhere to all necessary legislative requirements in terms of training interventions, documentation -Co-ordinate the information gathering for the purposes of the Workplace Skills Plan and Skills Development Report
  • Create, build and maintain relationships with training providers and suppliers
  • Ensuring that each employee has a personal development plan and that all training needs are sourced and arranged. Also ensuring that the right talent is available at the right time.
  • Remuneration Assist with and facilitate the annual compensation review process; Industrial Relations , Advising Line managers & Supervisors re Disciplinary and Grievance procedures and ensure that all procedures are fair and correct.
  • Chairing Trade Union (BWAWUSA- (Building Wood & Allied Workers Union) meetings between Union Officials and Shop Stewards.
  • Mediate Conflict Resolution.
  • Dealing with Labour sit-downs and resolving problems. Representing the Company at CCMA
