POSITION INFO:
Construction HR Manager
Location: Cape Town
Salary: ± R50,000 CTC per month

A leading Building Contractor based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Construction HR Manager to manage and oversee all human resources functions within a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all HR operations across multiple construction sites and head office
Ensure full compliance with BIBC agreements, labour legislation, and statutory requirements
Handle industrial relations, including disciplinary hearings, grievances, and CCMA matters
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and workforce planning for site and staff personnel
Advise management on labour risk, workforce strategies, and employee relations
Maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
Liaise with unions, site management, and external stakeholders where required

Minimum Requirements:

6–8 years’ proven HR experience within the construction industry
Strong, practical knowledge and understanding of BIBC (essential)
Solid experience in industrial relations and labour law within a site-based environment
Relevant HR qualification (Degree / Diploma)
Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to operate confidently in a high-pressure, deadline-driven construction setting
