HR OFFICER Location: Coega, Gqeberha THE ROLE We are looking for a hands-on HR Officer to join the HR team of a growing manufacturing business in Coega. Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred , with someone who understands the demands of a production environment and is comfortable working with employees, supervisors and management on the factory floor. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and management Manage HR administration, employee files, contracts and onboarding Assist with recruitment and interviews Handle leave, attendance and absenteeism Assist with disciplinary and grievance processes Support employee relations and labour matters Assist with training and development Maintain Employment Equity and Skills Development records Assist with payroll inputs and HR reporting Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed Work closely with Production and other operational departments EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Human Resource Qualification 3--5 years' HR experience Previous manufacturing \/ industrial experience strongly preferred Experience working with production \/ hourly-paid employees Experience with disciplinary and grievance procedures Good understanding of South African labour legislation Exposure to Employment Equity and Skills Development Experience with HR \/ payroll systems Good MS Office skills IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for someone who is: Hands-on and practical Confident dealing with employees at all levels Strong in employee relations Organised and accurate Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Professional, approachable and able to handle confidential information Able to work closely with Production Managers and Supervisors Manufacturing environments such as steel, automotive, engineering, FMCG, plastics, packaging or other production businesses would be highly relevant.
