JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a Proudly South African concern, with over 120 years of experience, have established themselves as the Continent’s leading manufacturer.  Reporting to the HRBP, you will be responsible for executing the administrative duties in the various HR functions, and providing support in areas including, Recruitment & Selection, Administration, Employee Wellness, Employment Equity and Employee Relations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:

Minimum:
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources essential.
  • 4 years experience in HR administration and general HR functions.
  • Previous HR experience in Corporate Manufacturing, unionised environment.
Competencies:

  • Strong love of administration: report writing, tracking HR stats, compilation of supplier profiles.

The Job:

HR-Specific:
  • Execute human resources administration aspects and maintain staff records.
  • Co-ordinate and execute the recruitment and selection process for junior to middle management levels.
  • Accurately and effectively process employees’ data involving legitimate changes.
  • Provide professional advice, assistance, and recommendations to business on disciplinary action and grievances.
  • Support HR function by supplying information and assistance to HR Business Partners, staff and Line Managers on HR and work-related issues.
  • Co-ordinate aspects of the employee wellness program.
  • Provide support in developing the Employment Equity report.
  • Co-ordinate and assist with various aspects of new staff on-boarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance to any collective agreements.
General:
  • Co-ordinate on-boarding process.
  • Conduct administration of employee benefits.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly recruitment status reports in line with HR requirements.
  • Review and implement HR Policies & Procedures in accordance with latest legislation and ensure changes are communicated to Managers and employees.
  • Organise/co-ordinate people and resources to achieve desired work output/targets/outcomes.
  • Participate in quality initiatives and corrective actions to address non-conformance to standards.
Health & Safety / Governance and Compliance:
  • Adhere to and meet all relevant safety targets and measurements.
  • Adhere to and enforce all health and safety regulations and report all safety hazards, accidents, and incidents to relevant parties.
  • Actively address all customer and supplier concerns.
  • Adhere to, and lead in the compliance of all Environmental, Health and Safety and all other applicable regulatory statutes, and all other safety and quality systems.
  • Actively adhere to and enforce POPI Act requirements.
Quality:
  • Ensure alignment of all work processes to the required quality standards.
  • Proactively identify continual improvement strategies.
  • Action agreed quality initiatives ensuring that they are aligned to tasks/processes/systems.
  • Implement corrective actions identified within specified time.
Adhoc:
  • Assist in handling adhoc HR issues as required.
  • Assist colleagues as required with the implementation of projects as per departmental strategies.
