JOB DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of the Job:

The Regional H.R. Officer will be responsible for providing effective H.R. support within the Gauteng and Nelspruit Branch. The successful Regional H.R. Officer will report to the National H.R. Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enforce the Company’s ‘Code of Conduct’
• Responsible for the full cycle of Recruitment and Selection
• Facilitate the payroll submissions for the region
• Conduct Exit Interviews
• Manage performance management process
• Update job descriptions and job specifications
• Prepare recruitment materials and post vacancies to appropriate job boards
• Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc
• Screen job applications for potential employment
• Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
• Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
• Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
• Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
• Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
• Populate Recruitment Stats onto National Recruitment Tracking Tool
• Assist with capturing and Processing of all Injuries on Duties, Provident Fund Claims, Funeral Claims, Death Claims, Disability, Retirement and Provident Fund Withdrawal Claims etc.
• Assist with stringent follow ups via Employees/Op’s Teams/Hospitals/Funds/Department of Labour on all Injuries on Duties, Provident Fund Claims, Funeral Claims, Death Claims, Disability, Retirement and Provident Fund Withdrawal Claims etc.
• Assist with scheduling of Disciplinary Enquiries
• Submission of weekly and monthly statistics to National H.R. Manager
• Supportive advice to the Op’s Team pertaining to HR-related issues
• Assist with adhoc related HR Projects as and when required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric Certified
• 2-3 years of direct H.R. experience in the Security/Cleaning/Parking Industry
• Relevant Degree/ Diploma will be advantageous
• Solid Computer Proficiency

COMPETENCIES:

• Excellent People Management skills
• Ability to exercise strict discretion
• Excellent Planning and Organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Full practical experience with regards to all Claims
• Solid knowledge of current Legislation: LRA/BCEA/EEA/etc.
• Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards within a diverse workplace
