SUMMARY:
A well-known established Chemical Distribution and Manufacturing Company requires the above to assist and support the HR Manager with all HR related functions within the Company.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or a relevant qualification is essential.
Previous experience having worked as an HR Officer or Generalist handling payroll administration is essential.
Previous experience having worked within a distribution or manufacturing industry is essential.
The successful candidate must have good people skills and be computer literate with intermediate Excel skills.
Must have excellent attention to detail and must be able to work autonomously.
Previous payroll experience is essential ideally having worked on Sage.
Good knowledge of employment equity is essential.
Previous knowledge of HR processes and procedures is essential as well as a good knowledge of best payroll practices.
Proven knowledge on application of all relevant employment laws and labour laws including but not limited to BCEA, LRA, OHSA, POPIA, EEA, B-BBEE, etc. is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Provide sound HR support to internal stakeholders with up-to-date accurate relevant information when required.
Drive and manage end to end recruitment processes.
Facilitate various applications and understanding of HR policies and procedures.
Assist Supervisors with workforce planning initiatives and budgeting.
Manage daily HR aspects, including monthly reporting and end to end payroll processes.
Assist in health and safety interventions and compliance monitoring when needed.
Facilitate and maintain high employee relations standards, including industrial relations advice to employees as well as management and facilitation of disciplinary enquiries and representation at CCMA up to arbitration.
Manage the performance management process and initiate employee wellness initiatives.
Coordinate the employment equity plans ensuring alignment of employment equity (EE) plan to HR strategy.
Develop and submit EE reports to the Department of Labour.
Manage and oversee all job evaluations and grading ensuring alignment to compensation and benefits.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
