JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES
To  provide comprehensive HR  operational  support  by  managing  key  compliance  processes—including WSP/ATR submissions,  IOD  cases,  and  disciplinary  procedures—while  ensuring  efficient  time  and  attendance  tracking  and recruitment at operations level. The role serves as the first point of contact for day-to-day employee HR queries, benefits  guidance,  and  administrative  support,  ensuring  accurate  record-keeping,  regulatory  compliance,  and consistent execution of HR policies and procedures across the business.

POSITION INFO:
MAIN DUTIES\/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDI NG BUT NOT LIMITED TO) Day-to-Day Operational HR: Act as a go-to HR professional for day-to-day employee questions, ensuring timely and accurate responses with complete follow-through. Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and practices. Answer employee queries regarding benefits plans and refer to service providers or escalate to relevant HR team members when necessary. Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems (PaySpace and SmartTime). Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and exit interviews. Assist with leave management and ensure compliance with company policies. Monitor probation periods and coordinate confirmation processes. Provide support in employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs . Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) & Annual Training Report (ATR): Track and record all employee training interventions. Liaise with training providers and SETAs to source grants and funding. Compile WSP\/ATR data and documentation within required deadlines. Maintain training records and ensure alignment with company skills development goals. Injury on Duty (IOD) Management: Manage IOD cases from incident reporting to resolution. Liaise with relevant parties, including medical practitioners and the Compensation Fund. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Disciplinary Hearings: Coordinate and facilitate disciplinary processes for all Operational staff (Blue Collar). Prepare documentation and ensure procedural fairness. Maintain records of hearings and outcomes. Time and Attendance: Oversee the time and attendance system across operational sites. Ensure accurate capturing and reporting of employee hours. Address anomalies and support payroll processing. Recruitment (Operations Level): Manage end-to-end recruitment for operational roles. Liaise with line managers to understand staffing needs to ensure the job descriptions are updated and relevant. Conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding processes. JOB\/EDUCATIONAL\/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or related field. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to operational sites. Minimum 3 years in a generalist HR role. Experience in EE, WSP\/ATR submissions, and IOD case management. Exposure to disciplinary processes and operational recruitment. SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Strong administrative and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems, PaySpace is advantageous. Ability to interpret and apply labour legislation. Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
