JOB SUMMARY:
Our Client, a leader in the industry is seeking a Head of Business Intelligence to provide professional management support, leadership and expertise to ensure that services and systems are effectively and efficiently delivered within BI and Data Science environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Criteria:

3+ year’s management experience in a dynamic work environment
1+ year’s senior management
Mentorship and giving guidance
Data analysis experience
SQL Coding Experience
Big Data Management experience
Good communication skills
Organising and planning skills
Able to join the dots
Desirable Criteria:
Actual hands-on data science experience
Azure experience
Kafka Experience 2
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Reporting line functions for the entire Business Intelligence and Data Science team.
- Conducting frequent individual check-ins, completing personal development plans and ensuring each team member has a clear career progression plan.
- Engaging with Business and Tech Leaders to understand challenges and where possible identify possible solutions.
- Road Map planning and task distribution ensuring timelines are both communicated and met.
- Statistical and Data analysis.
- Collect data from external sources to enhance our understanding of the changes in our data trends.
- Providing direction to the DataOps team around data needs, prioritizing sources and defining schema and performance requirements.
- Investigate tools for transformation of data into usable formats depending on the use case, paying special attention to real-time vs batch data.
- Research and Development of new data analysis technologies and validating their value within our environment.
- Provisioning of Data Visualizations tools to clearly communicate findings and enable some self-service functionality where suited.
- Provide easy to consume endpoints to enable other technology teams to consume data findings and utilize them in other systems.
- Maintain documentation on all work conducted and a service catalogue of the service offered include SLA’s..
