Head of Finance (CA)

POSITION INFO:

Exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Finance (CA) for a Foundation with at 3 years in a Finance Direct role. Looking for an independent, dynamic, enthusiastic, service driven team player to join the team to assume full responsibility for the finance and governance functions for the Foundation Trusts in South Africa and Tanzania. Looking for a candidate with an interest in conservation, and the empowerment and development of people living near protected areas in Africa. Experience in a Not-for-Profit will be advantageous. Based in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Experience required:

Qualified Chartered Accountant

Must be proficient with MS Office Packages and be able to demonstrate superior MS Excel abilities

Computer literate in Sage Intacct would be advantageous.

Ability to create Pivot tables and complex formulas

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Finance Director

Prior experience in a Not-for-Profit environment advantageous

Duties include:

Manage finance function and staff across all Foundation Trusts

Management Accounts

Financial Budgets and Forecasts

Annual Audit & Financial Statements

Governance, Accounting policies and Procedures

Project Management, Reporting & Closures

Banking & Cash

Accounts Receivables & Donation Income

Accounts Payables

Donor Reporting

Related Party Loans

Payroll

Exchange control

Statutory returns
