Head of Financial Shared Services

SUMMARY:
FMCG experience is ESSENTIAL. Leading company seeks to employ a dynamic Financial expert, responsible for the management of the Company’s shared services function: debtors, creditors and capital spend.

POSITION INFO:

Key Accountabilities and Outputs

Credit Management and Collections

• Manage the Credit & Collection Manager/s and department through adequate measures
• Ensure standard credit policies and procedures are implemented and maintained
• Ensure adequate financial controls and processes
• Ensure constant monitoring of outstanding accounts and remedies to correct
• Ensure adequate systems and reports to manage efficiency and effectiveness of the department

Accounts Payable and Vendor Management

• Manage the National Accounts Payable Manager and department through adequate measures
• Ensure standard AP policies and procedures are implemented and maintained
• Ensure adequate financial controls and processes
• Ensure timeous payment of suppliers and other creditors
• Ensure adequate systems and reports to manage efficiency and effectiveness of the department
• Review and release of supplier payments

Working Capital KPI’s

• Manage the Trade and other Receivables Working Capital KPI’s
• Manage the Trade and Other Payables Working Capital KPI’s

General

• Manage a large team of functional experts
• Shape and articulate the shared services strategy and value proposition to all stakeholders
• Apply leading practice end to end process expertise in core finance in order to design and implement new re-engineered processes in a Shared Services
• Responsible for the management and improvement of Working Capital
• Co-ordinate strategic planning processes for the organisation
• Ensure that risks relating to strategy are managed
• Develop operational policies, processes and procedures
• Ensure that business risks are identified, assessed and managed
• Ensure that adequate plans have been developed to deal with functional audit findings
• Ensure that functional business continuity plans are in place
• Ensure that succession planning takes place
