SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading player in the FMCG industry, is seeking a results-driven Head of Group Procurement to take charge of their global sourcing strategy. This pivotal role will see you shaping procurement across South Africa, the UK, and Europe, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier excellence, and world-class supply chain performance. You’ll be reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, with indirect reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric / Grade 12 (required)
Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain (required)
CIPS Qualification (advantageous)
Financial background (CIMA / CA) – advantageous

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior procurement role within FMCG, including exposure to manufacturing and costing environments
European / international procurement experience (required)
Strong contract negotiation and supplier management track record
Proven success in cost-saving and supply chain optimization

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES :

Advanced MS Excel, MS Word (required)
Proficiency in SAGE (advantageous)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strategic thinker with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Leadership and people management skill

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Driver’s License (required)
Willingness to travel locally and internationally
