Huge scope for innovation in his role. You will be tasked to develop the strategy, implement new technology and be directly accountable for the effective development and delivery of IT services and support to multiple business areas across the Group.

You will be an agile and sure-footed thinker with the ability to adapt, enhance and implement techniques or methodologies that may challenge conventional thinking but are always based on critical reasoning and facts. Proven track record managing a team that includes development resources as well as an operational department with technical support.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Degree/ Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Broad knowledge and at least 10 years of experience in IT management, systems, concepts, and methodologies
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a strategic IT leadership role
  • Pharma or a highly regulated sector experience is non-negotiable
  • Experienced at devising digital transformation strategy and leading execution thereof
  • Strategic planning skills: developing and implementing strategies and plans to help the business achieve its objectives
  • Experience implementing modern technology (with a pragmatic understanding of how technology can leverage a business)
  • Highly numerate, analytical, and commercially driven
  • Participation in developing a departmental budget and monitoring expenditures for multiple projects & funding sources
  • Essential skills will include a well above average intelligence and the ability to grasp and articulate complex problems

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee the digital transformation strategy development and technology implementation projects, together with the transitional change management required.
  • Consults with Exco on technology-related needs and purchasing decisions
  • Oversees the operation of the information technology department
  • Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations
  • Designing and customizing technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
  • Selecting and implementing suitable security technology
  • Selecting and implementing suitable infrastructure to facilitate on-site, hybrid, and virtual business systems.
  • Full integration of the IT function as a full business partner to all corporate, manufacturing operations and service departments.
  • Defining insourcing vs outsourcing strategies
  • Ensure all IT systems are qualified and validated to meet cGMP requirements
  • Selecting and implementing suitable technology to ensure data integrity of the cGMP data
  • Design and execute the required integration between current and future systems
  • Timeous and adequate capacity planning and performance delivery
  • Role profiling, goal setting and performance management of managers and staff
  • Develop and implement a knowledge management infrastructure
  • Accountability for own and team''s personal and professional learning & development

Medical Aid:

Covers the main member portion, this contribution Is factored into the total package offered to the employee. A gap cover is also included and offered by the company.

Short Term Incentive:

Based on the seniority level of this role, the Short term incentive eligibility is calculated on a % of your guaranteed salary, and not guaranteed (terms apply)

Sponsored Education:

This benefit is available to all permanent employees who have been employed for at least 6 months.

Provident fund:

The company and the employee each contribute an amount equal to 5% of the employee''s basic salary.

Risk:

The employee will also be covered for death, disability, and funeral cover under the Group Life Cover of the company
