A unique role as the Head of Internal Audit at an institution in the local commerce banking sector which operates internationally.

This role carries the responsibility of managing the internal audit function under the Audit Charter while being tasked with the execution of risk-based audits and hoc investigations in accordance with the annual audit plan in due time to improve the overall effectiveness of internal controls and risk and governance processes. Responsibilities also include identifying key business risks, external auditing, preparing and submitting audit reports, personnel management and personal and professional development.

Education:

• Bachelors and Honours in Internal Auditing/Finance with Auditing modules and Taxation
• Certification required (CIA)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 12 – 15 years Senior Management auditing experience in a bank or financial institution
• In depth knowledge of accounting, computer systems and general business operations
• Familiar with International Trade and credit risk exposure
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent planning and organising
• Assertive and punctual individual with good interpersonal skills
• Adherence to prescribed policy and procedures
