SUMMARY:
Recruiting for a role as Head of Internal Audit with extensive experience in internal auditing in a bank or financial institution.

POSITION INFO:

Established over 30 years ago, my client is an international bank that prides itself on confidentiality and security, and ultra-careful adherence to shrewd lending policies whilst providing personalized banking services.

The prosperous candidate will be required to bring systematic and disciplined approaches to assess and enhance the institutions’ internal control and risk/governance processes. Assertiveness, planning and organization are essential, in addition to a high-quality work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Duties:

Identifying key business risks – assessments, internal controls and audit scopes
Auditing internal controls and governance compliance
Liaising with SARB authority
Preparing and submitting audit reports
Managing audit department team and their HR matters

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s and Honours in Internal Auditing/Finance
IIA qualification and membership

Experience:

12 – 15 years Senior Management in auditing at bank/financial institution/audit firm
Credit risk exposure and AML Compliance
