Head of Internal Audit

URGENT role to be filled. Secure a senior role as the Head of Internal Audit at a multinational institution in the local and global commerce banking sector.

This incumbent will manage the internal audit function under the Audit Charter. This individual will ignite the execution of risk-based audits and ad hoc investigations in accordance with the annual audit plan within a given deadline to improve the overall effectiveness of internal controls and risk and governance processes at the end of the day. Responsibilities also include identifying key business risks, external auditing, preparing, and submitting audit reports, personnel management, and personal and professional development.

Education:

• Bachelors and Honours in Internal Auditing/Finance with Auditing modules and Taxation
• Certification required (CIA)

 Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 12 – 15 years Senior Management auditing experience (banking/financial industry)
• In depth knowledge and understanding of accounting, computer systems and general business operations
• Familiar with International Trade and credit risk exposure in the current market
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• An assertive and punctual individual who presents good interpersonal skills
• Competency to understand team members and manage individually
• Adherence to prescribed policies and procedures within the company and on an external regulating level
