Role requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution (computer science, electrical engineering, business)
Fluency in English is a must. Bonus points if you can speak/write one of the more popular languages across Africa (e.g., French, Igbo)
7+ years’ experience in end-to-end product management for online products or services, with exposure to relevant technologies and tools, across web and native mobile app product development
At least some of this experience would be expected to have been in a start-up environment.
Bonus points if you have also worked with instant messaging-type products before, and also for or with large telco’s
Solid understanding of current best practices when it comes to the finer detail of what drives successful adoption and engagement
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority; well-versed in stakeholder management
Strong planning and project management skills including a demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and juggle multiple projects
Strong analytical skills and ability for conceptual and strategic thinking
Experience in serving the global market and working in an international environment. Work experience in Africa is a plus
Some (limited) national and international (Africa) travel will be required
