Our client is a leading global provider of information and analytics that help customers with workflow solutions and better decision making. A digital pioneer, globally and in South Africa, it has been committed to enhancing the potential of Africa through its corporate solutions and smart digital platforms. As they grow on the continent they are seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager as Head of Sales for Africa.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities:

  • Delivery of budgeted revenue and profit
  • Responsible for the strategic planning , tactical execution and operational management of both Field Sales and Telesales, to ensure sustainable growth of the division
  • Strategy and Business Development for the Africa region
  • Responsible for BU strategic planning and tactical execution
  • Work with Business Development to develop new products and solutions
  • Develop people and an achievement-orientated culture based on continuous learning principles and reward
  • Recruit top sales and support staff
  • Maintain a customer, bottom line and big picture focus


Qualifications and Skills required:
  •  8+ years experience and expertise at a senior management level for similar markets or sales roles.
  • University degree or relevant training
  • Financial acumen – understand P&L
  • Sales experience in African geographies
  • Functional & working knowledge of sales and negotiation processes
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills

 
This role will suit a high engagement sales leader, who is energised by customers, people and sales. The role will be based in Johannesburg and international travel may be required from time to time.
