An exciting opportunity to join South Africa’s leading tourism and hospitality company has just opened. We are looking for a seasoned Human Resource Manager who will be responsible for recruitment, labour, or employee relations, BBBEE Verification and Administration process, change management, training, compensation, learning and development, payroll input and administration or any other area of human resources.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role calls for a seasoned professional to:
  • Act as a Human Resource Transaction Partner
  • Ensure and maintain employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Prepare paperwork required to place employee on payroll and establish employee file.
  • Assist in hiring process by coordinating job posting on Web site, reviewing resumes, performing telephone interviews and reference checks.
  • Oversee special events for employees by coordinating committees and schedules and staying within budget.
  • Perform effective administration of the diversity and BBBEE transformation processes inclusive of Employment Equity.
  • Perform effective setting up of Employee relations
  • Assist business with Performance management Process
  • Participate in the roll-out of HR Initiatives / Projects
  • Educate staff and management on policies and procedures to ensure correct implementation and adherence.
  • Manage ESS
  • Work in Partnership with the L& D Specialist to Ensure and conduct training needs analysis (TNA) with business leaders to determine the learning needs from an individual and organizational perspective.
  • Implement the L&D initiatives in response to changing needs.
  • Provide L&D advice to individuals, teams, and programs.
  • Ensure training is recorded and registers are kept
  • Provide assistance with BBBEE Tourism Code and verification audits
  • Identify learning options, including online solutions, to support cultural change and build capability within the organization.
  • Implement programs and initiatives to build the capability of our leaders.
  • Manage and coordinate training requirements for differing levels of the organization based on current and future capability and mandatory needs, whilst ensuring the effective management of a centralized L&D budget.
  • Promote available training opportunities to employees as well as driving a learning culture.
  • Ensure WSP and ATR are conducted and submitted timeously.
  • Ensure Employment Equity Committees are actioned, and plans are implemented according to Business plan and legislation.


The ideal candidate has:

  • Relevant degree in human resources, business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years’ Experience in HR
  • Conducted Employment Equity Meetings
