A leading FMCG organisation is seeking a commercially astute and operationally strong HR Lead to drive people strategy and HR business partnering across its Head Office and Distribution Centre operations.
This is a senior HR leadership opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and can balance strategic workforce planning with operational execution. Reporting to the Group HR Executive, you will lead and develop a team of HR Business Partners while partnering closely with operational leadership to deliver practical, business-aligned people solutions.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in elevating the quality of HR partnership across the business, strengthening management capability, mitigating employee relations risk, and driving workforce effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Business Partners across Head Office and Distribution Centre operations.
Partner with senior operational leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, retention, and people strategy.
Drive proactive HR business partnering focused on commercial outcomes rather than transactional HR support.
Oversee complex employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, incapacity processes, and CCMA cases.
Analyse workforce trends, people metrics, attrition, and operational risks to support business decision-making.
Ensure consistent HR service delivery, policy compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
Build management capability through coaching, leadership support, and HR best practice guidance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field
6–9 years’ progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a senior HRBP or HR management role
Proven experience within FMCG, retail, logistics, manufacturing, or other high-volume operational environments
Strong South African labour law and employee relations expertise
Demonstrated experience managing and developing HR teams
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence operational leaders
Experience across both white-collar and blue-collar workforce environments ispreferred
Professional HR certification is advantageous
Clean Criminal history
Valid unendorsed driver's licence
