Job Title: Human Resources and Payroll Specialist

Location: Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal

Job Description: They are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources and Payroll Specialist to join our team.
The Role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our HR and payroll functions, helping to support our employees and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years Proven experience in HR and payroll administration.
• Knowledge of South African labour laws and payroll regulations.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in payroll software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Must be open to travel between our offices nationally should the need arise

• Manage the recruitment process from start to finish and fulfil the recruitment needs of the company, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews, conducting background checks and overseeing psychometric tests.
• Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in our HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
• Coordinate employee on-boarding and orientation programs.
• Handle HR-related queries and provide support to employees.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedure.Payroll Processing:
• Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Calculate and verify timekeeping records, overtime, and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory payroll regulations and tax laws.
• Handle payroll inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Generate payroll reports and maintain payroll records.

• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical aid and retirement plans.
• Assist employees with benefit enrolment, changes, and inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to benefits.

• Stay up-to-date with South African labour laws and regulations.
• Assist in preparing and submitting required HR and payroll reports to relevant authorities.
• Ensure the company's compliance with Employment Equity, Skills Development and BEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) requirements.
