SUMMARY:
My client in Montague Gardens is looking for an Industrial Electricians with Red Seal, PLC experience, strong fault-finding skills, and leadership abilities. Ideal for those with FMCG & automation expertise (not maintenance-focused).
MUST LIVE WITHIN 30 KM'S FROM MONTAGUE GARDENS IN CAPE TOWN AND BE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 28- AND 40-YEARS OLD, THESE ARE NON-NEGOTIABLES

POSITION INFO:
The ideal person will be a hands-on, Red Seal Electrician with solid industrial experience in PLCs, automation, and FMCG environments. Must be a reliable, self-driven problem-solver who thrives on-site, under pressure, and in sub-zero conditions when needed.

ONSITE: 07h30 – 16h30 Monday to Thursdays & 07h30 – 14h00 on Fridays

Requirements:

Must reside within 30km range from Montague Gardens.
Minimum 5 years working experience as a RED SEAL Electrician
Must have PLC experience
Be experienced in fault finding
must be able to work unsupervised
Problem solving ability
Must be physically and medically fit and able, to work in the cold at -20° Celsius, for varying lengths of time
Have the ability to work at heights − Be able to read drawings (experience in reading electrical drawings is advantageous)
Be prepared to work weekends, if and when required − Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook) − Be disciplined and pay attention to detail
following procedures is of utmost importance
Ability to perform administrative duties, such as the completion of breakdown and planned work in accordance with a technical job card system, writing reports following inspections, drawing up quotes, etc.
Be able to complete project work, in accordance with project schedules
Have the ability to work with a diverse cultural mix of people
Valid Code B driver’s licence − Valid and updated passport advantageous
Clear criminal record
Maintenance Electrician/Technician will not be accepted

Duties:

Site inspections, installations & repairs
Handle breakdowns & project work
Lead & train assistants when needed
Complete job cards & reports
Travel as required
