IT Applications Delivery Lead (Delivery Dynamo)

SUMMARY:
A leading South African business with deep roots in retail, warehousing, and manufacturing is looking for an IT Application Delivery Manager to join their forward-thinking Tech Department. This role will see you working across multiple platforms and teams, bringing business-critical systems to life and driving ongoing transformation through technology.

POSITION INFO:

Lead the end-to-end delivery of internal and member-facing applications; from concept through to production
Act as a co-product owner, collaborating with business stakeholders to shape roadmaps and prioritise high-value features
Oversee Agile teams and external development partners to ensure quality, speed, and scalability in everything they ship
Own the DevOps pipeline; CI/CD automation, environment readiness, secure deployments, and incident response
Manage the entire application lifecycle: versioning, change control, patching, and eventual decommissioning
Champion best practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with security and compliance standards

Skills & experience:
Proven experience in a similar role managing business-critical applications
Hands-on knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and software delivery governance
Strong understanding of the retail, warehousing, or manufacturing sector – and how technology supports operations and growth
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills

Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
