IT Auditor

A thriving manufacturing company is eager to bring on board a detail-orientated IT Auditor, to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:
This role will focus on creating and detailing control frameworks for internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), IT and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT auditing, control frameworks, and compliance, with a keen ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Design and develop comprehensive control frameworks for ICFR, operational processes, and IT systems.
• Ensure frameworks align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify control needs and gaps.
• Create detailed documentation for control frameworks, including control objectives, activities, risk assessments, and testing procedures.
• Maintain and update documentation to reflect changes in processes, regulations, or technology.
• Prepare and present reports on control framework design and effectiveness to stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations to enhance control environments.
• Identify opportunities for improving control frameworks and processes.
• Develop and deliver training to relevant stakeholders on control frameworks and best practices.

• BCom in Internal Auditing/Information systems/Accounting
• CISA and CIA certification (essential)
• Minimum 1 – 3 years of experience in IT Auditing
• Experience in IT internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
