SUMMARY:
Our client in Pretoria is looking for a IT Disaster Recovery Specialist position on a 12 month contract.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

B degree or higher in IT
Disaster Recover Certified Specialist/Planner (DRCS), Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP),
Associated Disaster Recovery Planner accreditation, DRP-5000 IT DRP Implementer, Certified Business Resilience IT Professional (CBRITP)
10+ years of direct work experience in designing, testing, and implementing disaster recovery plan for IT environment (including data centres, apps, and systems etc.)
8+ years of documenting and maintaining a disaster recovery plans
5+ years of IT Systems backup management.
Understanding of DR and backup solutions/systems and processes
8+ years of working knowledge of IT infrastructure platforms, including network and server architecture, virtualization, Databases and VoIP.

Overall responsibilities:

Development of the IT Disaster Recovery (IT DR) Solution
Facilitation and coordination of the IT DR testing and related projects to assist ICT business unit in resolving issues related to application recovery, planning, and recovery plan development and enhancements.
Manage the IT DR testing calendar and provide test results for documentation and input into wide Business continuity strategy.
