Good knowledge on Virtual Machine creation, maintenance and upgrading. Installation, Updates, upgrading and maintenance of Infrastructure. Network administration certification Cloud Certification would be an added advantage (Azure)

Skill Set

Microsoft Hyper-V
- Build Hyper-V admin skills on fundamental Windows Server
  
  knowledge
- Hyper-V deployments depend on failover clustering, Virtual Switch Administration
Networking & Routing
- Installing and Configuring computer networks using routing,
  
  Switching Layers, Gateway, MAC filter, IP forwarding
- identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems
VMware vSphere
- VMware administrators build and install computer infrastructure,
  
  which encompasses hardware, servers, and virtual machines,.
  
  VCentre , VSphere ESXi Licensing , Virtual Switching , DAS iSCSI

Perform Monitoring
- Capable to analyse Windows log for Performance, event Logs
NAS
- Basic Administration, Quota Management, Access Management, LUN, RAID Configuration
Windows Administration – Server 2021, 2016, 2019
- In-Depth Knowledge of Windows Administration, AD
- Teaming Configuration with different mode, DNS, OU, Domain
  
  Controller, MSDN
FTP Server
- Basic Knowledge of FTP server & Client
IIS
- Good understanding of IIS
- Log analysis, Configuration, Port management, Web-Site
  
  Deployment
Security
- Windows Patch Management using WSUS & SCMS
- Firewall rule configuration, AV Integration
Backup
- Basic knowledge on Backup Solution with Integration with NAS
  
  Veeam Backup solution will added advantage

§ Roles and Responsibilities

Creating/Editing/Decommissioning of VMs.
Assignment and management of VM IPs on a portal.
Updating ESXi, vSphere and vCenter quarterly.
Communicating any changes made to the virtual environment via SMAX to concerned company groups.
Ad hoc management of vCenter and ESXi configurations as and when

required.

Maintaining vSphere configurations (including network configs) across the platform (all physical servers).
Troubleshooting VM, vSphere, vCenter and ESXi issues as and when they occur.
Monitoring resource usage of both VM and physical servers via

vSphere.

Monitoring physical servers and SAN storage systems for resource usage issues.
Placing servers in quarantine when hardware issues occur.
Visiting Data centres for inspection and rectification when and

where required.

Reaching out to vendors for hardware support, including replacement of storage disks, server parts and in rare cases, complete servers.
Updating all server and storage firmware and middleware quarterly.
Communicating any major changes made to the infrastructure via

SMAX to concerned company groups.

Arranging transport of equipment between data centres and the office as and when required.
