IT Infrastructure Engineer

SUMMARY:
Essential to have 6+ years post qualification experience. Ideally Computer Science/ Information systems support /MCSE or MSCD / N+ /CCNA/ITIL Frameworks.

• Desktop support
• Network user growth planning
• Server support
• Aid capacity management for user infrastructure
• Statistical LAN monitoring
• Asset management

2. INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

• Backup management
• DRS site testing management
• Active Directory
• Software systems management and development
• Email (Mimecast support and development)

3. RISK MANAGEMENT & SECURITY

• Risk register
• Ensuring integrity of data all data, both active and backed up
• User level access control
• I.T policy adherence
• End user education on LAN technologies

4. INNOVATION & BEST PRACTICES

• Best practices
• Innovations
• Internal best practices throughout the company implemented
• Best practices from external sources assessed and implemented where relevant
• Innovations presented to management and implemented where relevant

5. SERVICE PROVIDER MANAGEMENT

• Relationships
• Maintenance and developments
• Aid maintaining relationships with all IT service providers
• Compliance to service agreements
• Implement ITIL frameworks on internal and external SLA’s and tickets logged.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Must be able to work independently, must be able to work under pressure and be client focused.
• Be up to date with technology trends.
• Interaction & effective communication with staff members, take ownership and responsibility of tickets, and show effective self-management to prioritize tickets.
• Quick learning abilities and first-time resolution of tickets.
