IT Infrastructure Engineer

SUMMARY:


Food Distribution Company in Cape Town Southern Suburbs has an opportunity for an ICT Engineer who will report to the ICT Manager
 
Main purpose of the position:

• Bolster their ICT department, with the view to support and develop the company’s users, clients, stakeholders etc., and to assist with the expansion of their ICT infrastructure
• Given that the company is a high output/outcome environment, the successful candidate must be able to work in a team, and function independently, to perform a variety of functions within the ICT and related field
• The candidate must have a passion for the non-profit sector, and drive efficiency and cost savings to contribute to the success of the company
• The position is responsible for collaborating with all the divisions across the business network, to install, manage, analyze, and diagnose computer issues, monitor processing functions, install relevant software and perform tests on computer equipment and applications when necessary
• The ICT Technician will also train the company's employees, clients, and other users on any new programs, platforms or functionality

POSITION INFO:


Requirements:

• At least 10 years’ proven, relevant experience in the ICT field
• At least 5 years proven experience in managing a team
• High-level technical knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware and applications
• Well-versed in troubleshooting, analysis, networks and systems design
• Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
• Ability to solve complex problems and see projects through to completion
• Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest ICT technology and software trends
• Microsoft Office 365 /  Cloud Implementation and Support Experience
• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP Support experience
• Data and Databases experience
