IT Manager

• Manage information technology and computer systems.
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational objectives.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
• Measure, and report on infrastructure performance and events.
• Identify operational issues and contribute to their resolution.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning, implementation, maintenance, and updates.
• Provides insight and recommendations to optimize the performance of IT infrastructure.
• Investigate and manage the adoption of tools, techniques, and processes (including automation) for the management of systems and services.

• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
• Implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
• Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff.
• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
• Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget.
• Providing direction for IT team members.
• Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement.

• Bachelor''''s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Minimum 9 years of experience in IT operations, IT user support, helpdesk, or NOC support with at least 3 years as a manager.

Certifications in any of the following would be an added advantage: ITIL Service Operations, ISO 27001 (ISMS) or 27032 (IT security), Project Mgt. Professional (PMP), and/or Microsoft MCSE.
