IT Risk Manager

The ideal incumbent will bear the responsibility of ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out and in accordance with all regulatory requirements, enterprise-wide risk management frameworks and internal policies. The candidate must ensure that appropriate risk assessments are implemented within Group IT through effective identification and assessment of all key risks and subsequent monitoring, reporting thereof and appropriate corrective action to address issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing risk reports
• Detecting and reporting emerging threats and risks timeously
• Continuous IT management techniques and methodologies research
• Monitoring IT regulations to implement pro-active risk management solutions
• Analysis of operational losses and system related incidents, perform trend and root cause analysis
• Reducing risk by recommending value added risk management solutions
• Ad-hoc monitoring
• Analyse and assess threats and vulnerabilities
• Recommend appropriate security control measures and review effectiveness thereof
• Ensure that the BCP for Group IT and that the Group Disaster Recover Plan is continually updated. Facilitate the testing of BCM and DR
• Analysing of IT specific audit findings and follow up on resolution thereof in terms of sustainability. Support IT management to ensure that strategic decisions within Group IT takes full account of the current and emerging risk profile
• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis.

Education:

• Completed BCom degree (IT related)
• Relevant CRISC certification
• IT and risk management qualifications.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 4-6 years’ experience in IT audit and/or IT risk management (healthcare, banking, or financial services)
• Familiarity with risks associated with (operating system, database, network device, web technologies etc)
• Experience in Information Security and solid knowledge of information security risks
• Excellent understanding of risk management concepts and measurements
• Accuracy in risk calculation and ratios
• Strong relationship building qualities
• Strong MS Office skills (Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Strong Communication Skills (written/ verbal)
• Strong analytical and presentation skills
• Understanding and strong knowledge of all regulatory requirements related to information technology
