IT Service Management Consultant/Trainer

POSITION INFO:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for IT Service Management Consultants / Trainers within Pink Elephant’s existing team of consultants. The key purpose of the role is the delivery of the extensive Pink Elephant portfolio of consulting and training services. We are seeking confident and experienced individuals who are up to date on the latest service management methodologies. You will be responsible for delivering consultancy and education services, leveraging your service management expertise.

Primary Role:

• Advise and influence clients, delivering solutions across multiple IT management best practices and governance frameworks.
• Enhance Pink Elephant's credibility through thought leadership and industry recognition.
• Develop solutions to meet client needs.
• Support Pink Elephant's corporate strategy, delivering education and consultancy excellence and creating opportunities for other business units.
• Facilitate workshops for clients' Senior Management teams.
• Provide and deliver a mix of education, consultancy, research and development, and pre-sales support to Pink’s clients.
• Ensure customer-defined service level standards are met, cultivating strong relationships with Pink Elephant clients.
• Lead strategic deployment of best practices in client engagements, focusing on strategic business processes and procedures.
• Manage client relationships and coordination across various operational levels.
• Take ownership of specific product/service lines, such as Assessment services, Technical associated Services, or business-related Services (cultural change) or education services/product lines.
• Identify and manage opportunities to achieve personal and team targets with new and existing clients.
• Negotiate and influence strategically and tactically, both externally and internally.
• Meet tight deadlines to fulfil Pink Elephant's and Clients' objectives.
• Provide pre-sale support and develop solutions/proposals.
• Deliver operational, process, and procedural recommendations and solutions through executive management workshop facilitation.
• Assist clients in creating clear strategic plans to address people, process, and technology issues in Pink Elephant engagements.
• Gain industry recognition as an innovator, subject matter expert, or contributor to industry best practices through public speaking and contributions to the industry press.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Consultant:

• Lead and manage ITSM-driven improvement initiatives for clients.
• Conduct process maturity and capability assessments based on best practice frameworks and standards.
• Design roadmaps for planning ITSM process implementation and improvement programs.
• Facilitate and manage projects to drive service and process improvement/implementation initiatives.
• Assist clients in developing clear strategic plans to address people, process, and technology issues associated with Pink Elephant engagements.
• Function in an advisory capacity both internally and externally, driving innovation and enhancing the capability of Pink Elephant's consultancy practice.
• Enhance the credibility of Pink Elephant through thought leadership and industry recognition.
• Create and develop solutions, alongside other operations team members, to meet client needs.
• Actively support the Pink Elephant corporate strategy, providing opportunities for other Pink Elephant business units.
• Work to tight deadlines to meet objectives of Pink Elephant and its clients.
• Meet or exceed qualitative and quantitative Key Performance Indicators for Consultant performance.

Trainer:

• Facilitate and deliver training/workshops aligned with class needs, considering the specific requirements of individual delegates.
• Deliver training across mediums such as instructor-led, web-based, and virtual classrooms.
• Customize training material and delivery to facilitate client learning objectives.
• Identify opportunities to innovate and improve classroom performance and the client experience.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer internally and externally through one-on-one mentoring.
• Meet or exceed qualitative and quantitative Key Performance Indicators for Trainer performance.
• Focus on maintaining subject matter expert status through learning and certification renewal programs.

Skill/Knowledge Requirements (academic, technical, professional):

Essential:

• Graduate qualified or relevant industry experience
• Minimum of three years of IT service management Consulting/Training experience.
• Outstanding presentation skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout South Africa predominantly, as well as Africa and sometimes worldwide when required.
• Driver’s license.

Desirable:

• Demonstrated full responsibility for IT service management processes or projects.
• Breadth and depth of experience in IT service management business environments.
• ITIL 3 or above/ITSM Service Management Expert qualification.
• Project Management (PRINCE 2, Agile) qualification.
• COBIT 5 Foundations qualification.
• Recognition externally within the industry as a specialist or leader in a relevant subject matter.
• Membership in relevant external bodies e.g. ITSMF, ITSMI, COBIT.
