JOB DESCRIPTION:

IT Support Engineer required in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day monitoring of servers, services, backups and cloud environments, assist independently or in collaboration with solving 1st, 2nd and possibly, 3rd line support requests. Help with the implementation of migrations to Microsoft 365 and with the periodic maintenance of various IT environments would also be included into your role.

Requirements

Relevant IT Degree / Certificate
Previous working experience within a Support Engineer Role
Previous working experience with various RMM tools
Experience with Microsoft 365 maintenance, implementation, installation and troubleshooting issues
Experience with Servers; maintenance, monitoring and Report analysis thereof
Ability to work with European time zones
May be required to work on South African Holidays (compensation thereof will be discussed)

Responsibilities

Performing day-to-day operational tasks efficiently and effectively.
Monitoring of all relevant servers and services.
Generate and check various management and health reports
Daily monitoring of backup reports
Follow-through on all Incident tickets assigned and their resolution
Participate in root cause analysis on incidents, helping to drive identification of preventative actions meant to ensure problems don’t recur, and delivering on the tasks within those actions
Escalate issues in a timely fashion. Provide all relevant information, accurately entering information into trouble ticket database
Managing/troubleshooting of Office365 portal, Exchange Online and other Cloud infrastructure.
Managing/troubleshooting of clients PC (general issue and advanced investigation)
Hardware, Patch management and Anti-Virus maintenance using RMM tools.
Setup of client software, emails and troubleshoot issues thereof.
