POSITION INFO:
Company with software design and implementation requires the services of a skilled payroll implementation and consulting specialist.

Expertise on the Payroll and all the technicalities of the software

• Implementing the software at clients premises
• Performing need analysis and payroll setup in such a way that all statutory requirements are met i.e. Tax requirements, UIF requirements, Basic Conditions of Employment Act etc. for RSA and Africa Clients (Angola, Nigeria Swaziland) including Middle East
• Consultations at clients which involved problem solving, giving advice on best practices, statutory issues, supporting clients with payroll processes and implementing modules.
• Assisting clients with their Tax Year Ends and Mid-year Tax Year Recon which involves and SARS E-filing
• Invoicing clients
• Compilation of consulting reports which are signed off by the clients
• Managing own schedule
• Meeting monthly targets which is based on consulting, training and support hours
• On-site training at client’s premises
• Telephone Support to all clients. This consists of gathering enough information to solve the problem effectively, assessing the problem and performing back up investigation
• Logging of calls on Call Logging System (CRM)
• Presenting Training Courses
• Staying up to date with all statutory changes
• Establishing a network with SAGE Payroll users in the industry
• Supporting upgrades and legal patches
• Dealing with on-going client queries
• Testing reported problems/queries for client

Maintaining the Human Resource procedures throughout the coastal region of South Africa in terms of the following aspects: Assist in administering various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel, assist in the development & implementation of policies and procedures, prepare and maintain employee handbook and other department related documents. Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Assist in performing benefits administration to include change reporting, preparing invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees. Assist in conducting recruitment efforts for all non-exempt personnel and temporary employees; monitor career pathing programs, write and place advertisements. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Participate in department meetings and other meetings and seminars. Maintain human resource records and compile reports from databases. Assist in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.


To ensure there is a clear audit trail for every transaction and that data is stored in a manner that ensures it can easily be retrieved. To prepare and maintain personnel files for individual employees. To ensure confidentiality of personal and payment records. To process the payrolls for financial year-end processing. To provide timely action requests for transfer of long service leave entitlements in line with the Long Service Leave Regulations. To provide the calculation of redundancy and termination calculations. To provide support and training in the payroll employee self-service application. Process all Workcover related wages and payments and track medical threshold limits. To Review and calculate timesheets data and hours worked. To Calculate salaries, wages and overtime wage sheets. To Create and run salary sheets and reports. To Manage, maintain and update payroll related data. To Update salary sheets and schedules. To Answer and clarify employees on payroll related inquiries. To Submit payroll reports and sheets on time to the finance or other related department. To Assist administrative or finance staff in processing payrolls of new hires or terminated ones. Capturing of all client personnel transactions (New hire ,Termination , Pensions, Provident & Retirement funds, Medical aids, Unions, Benefits deductions and Any other relevant details). Gross to net salary calculation, audit and balancing. To Compilation of 3rd parties and Vendor transactions, Transactions included preparations and submissions of the monthly and weekly bank files, PAYE, UIF, and SDL payments to the respective authorities

Required Minimum Education / Training

• Matric plus 5+ years relevant experience
• Degree/Diploma or a relevant tertiary qualification in IT and / or Payroll Diploma.
• Certifications relating to payroll industry will be advantageous.

Required Minimum Work Experience

• Relevant experience in Service, Consulting, and Implementation
• In-depth understanding of the customer services model and of the customers’ business environment.
• In-depth knowledge of PeopleWare and Payroll
• At least 3 years’ experience in Payroll and advance Excel
• Good understanding of the PeopleWare services in various industries
