POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS Matric (additional sales, technical or business qualifications highly advantageous) Proven B2B sales experience in technical, industrial or engineering products or solutions Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets to grow this existing client base Ability to build credibility and long-term relationships with customers at all levels, from artisans and stores staff to buyers and management Able to understand a customer's application and recommend the right product practically and honestly Strong planning and territory management, including route planning and prioritising accounts by value and potential Self-managed, with the discipline to run a sales pipeline from lead to close without close supervision Accurate and timely administration: call reports, quotes and follow-ups Proficient in CRM systems and standard business software (Microsoft Office or equivalent) Fluent in English and Afrikaans, spoken and written Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle Existing knowledge of tools, hardware or industrial consumables Established industrial customer contacts in the region DUTIES Sales and growth Manage and grow an allocated customer base, increasing turnover and market share Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and new customers in the territory Promote and sell the company's full product range Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets Customer relationships Visit customers regularly according to a planned call cycle Handle enquiries and provide product, pricing and delivery information promptly Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve concerns quickly Escalate complaints, product issues and service problems to management Administration and teamwork Submit accurate call reports and keep the CRM up to date Report on pipeline, sales performance and competitor activity Work with internal departments (stores, dispatch, accounts) to ensure smooth service delivery Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience plus medical aid, pension fund, car allowance and fuel card.
