Infrastructure Project Manager

SUMMARY:
SENIOR LEVEL PROJECT MANAGER
AN INTERNATIONAL MINING COMPANY HAS A VACANCY FOR AN SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER.   The successful candidate will Built and manage end-to end project plan, and monitor/report progress.  Effectively manage scope and dependencies. Identify risks and issues and proactively resolve/mitigate them. Ensure that the project is delivered to time, cost and quality.

Travelling will be required

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of experience in Project Management activities.
• PRINCE II foundation certification is a plus.

Experience of management of infrastructure projects (EUC, Networking, Voice, Security, Cloud).
Experience of working on projects that have involved the introduction of new ways of working / processes / methodologies into a business.
Highly proficient in Project Management principles, methods, techniques and tools.
Strong supplier and people management skills.
Technical background and understanding of infrastructure underpinnings of a complex network environment.
Knowledge about aspects of information technology specifically within complex infrastructure environments.
Expert hands on knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask.
Analytical and observation skills.
Problem-solving abilities.
Ensure that business outcomes are defined, approved, and delivered.
Support strong governance, aligned with the overall governance, and ensure that timely decisions are taken.
Communicate regularly and effectively with project stakeholders.
Support the Programme manager in the overall successful delivery of a Programme.
Co-ordinate and manage resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
Lead project meetings and set expectations.
Maintain budget and forecast.
Assessing and analyzing different options for the requirements of the project.
Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure.
Meeting stakeholders and assessing IT infrastructure needs.
Meeting with IT solution architects and finalizing essential IT infrastructure.
Planning and supervising installation of IT infrastructure.
