Our client is a well-known, innovative, digital services platform operating in the on-demand services space, with a strong presence across South Africa. The business is recognised for its people-first culture, strong social impact and technology-driven model.
They are seeking an Interim CFO to support the executive team on a consulting basis (±80 hours per month). This role will provide strategic oversight of the
finance function, ensure continuity during the maternity period and support key commercial and operational initiatives.
This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys working in agile, fast-paced, scale-up environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership to the executive team
- Oversee financial performance, forecasting and budgeting
- Guide cash flow management and capital allocation
- Support commercial decision-making and growth initiatives
- Ensure strong governance, compliance and risk management
- Partner with leadership across operations, product and HR
- Oversee management reporting and financial insights
- Support board and investor reporting where required
- Mentor and guide the finance team
- Drive process improvements and financial efficiencies
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification (essential)
Experience:- Proven experience in a CFO / Finance Director role
- Experience within tech, platform, marketplace or high-growth environments (highly advantageous)
- Strong commercial and strategic finance exposure
- Board and executive stakeholder engagement experience
- Consulting / interim experience (advantageous)
