SUMMARY:
Are you a detail-oriented IT audit professional with a passion for strengthening controls and enhancing governance within a dynamic financial services environment? A leading, well-established group, based in the West Rand, is seeking a highly skilled IT Internal Auditor to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in evaluating IT systems, identifying risks, and ensuring robust internal controls across a complex and evolving technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute IT audit engagements in line with the annual audit plan
Evaluate IT governance, risk management, and control processes
Review general IT controls (GITCs), application controls, and cybersecurity frameworks
Assess data integrity, system security, and access controls
Identify control weaknesses and provide practical, value-adding recommendations
Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to management
Monitor the implementation of agreed audit recommendations
Stay abreast of emerging IT risks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices

Minimum Requirements:

BCom Honours degree (Internal Audit / Accounting / Information Systems or related)
CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and/or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) qualification
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in IT auditing (preferably within financial services)
Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO, etc.)
Experience with data analytics tools and audit software advantageous
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills

Competencies:

High level of integrity and professional scepticism
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail with a risk-focused mindset
