Internal Compliance Audit Officer – iGaming/Online Casino Industry

SUMMARY:
As the Internal Compliance Audit Officer, you will be responsible for the independent management and execution of the Company’s Compliance Monitoring Programme (“CMP”), providing assurance that regulatory requirements and internal controls are being effectively met across the Company’s licensed markets.

POSITION INFO:
Type of employment: Permanent Remuneration: Market Related Salary + Co. pension contribution after successful completion of 3-month probationary period Location: Remote\/Flexi Working Hours (Must be based and live in Cape Town) You will own the ongoing development of the CMP and conduct risk-based testing against several jurisdictional licensing standards, identifying regulatory deficiencies and control weaknesses and overseeing remediation through to completion. The role will also support AML\/CFT assurance and regulatory reporting activities, including STR submissions, and provide regular reporting on key findings, trends, emerging risks and remediation progress. Minimum Requirements: Matric\/NQF4 & Completed Degree\/Qualification in related field, e.g. (BCom) in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Risk Management, or Governance, or an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) or relevant Professional Certifications, e.g. CIA, CISA, CFE etc. Sound skills and knowledge of Regulatory Frameworks (FICA, FAIS, Companies Act etc.) Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role (iGaming Industry or Financial Services Industry preferred) Must have background in Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance and strong knowledge and understanding of frameworks, methodologies, and best practices Proficiency in data analytics, computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or audit software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Working Hours: Remote & Flexi working hours (45 Hours per week). Start between 06h00 - 10h00 and end between 14h00 - 18h00 Key Performance Areas: Compliance Monitoring Programme: Own and maintain the CMP | Develop the monitoring calendar and testing schedule | Perform risk-based monitoring reviews | Maintain appropriate testing methodologies and sampling | Ensure monitoring is completed within agreed timelines | Continuously improve the CMP based on findings, regulatory changes and emerging risks Regulatory Compliance Testing: Test compliance against several jurisdictional standards | Assess both control design and operating effectiveness | Gather, review and identify gaps or exceptions in supporting evidence | Document findings clearly and objectively | Identify recurring or systemic issues | Escalate material compliance deficiencies to the CCO Findings & Remediation: Maintain the central findings\/remediation register | Track corrective actions through to closure | Challenge inadequate remediation | Escalate overdue or ineffective remediation | Validate evidence before closing findings AML\/CFT Assurance & Regulatory Reporting: Perform compliance monitoring of AML\/CFT controls | Identify potential control failures or weaknesses | Assist with regulatory reporting, including submissions | Maintain appropriate evidence and audit trails | Support the CCO with AML\/CFT assurance reporting Reporting: Produce individual monitoring reports | Produce periodic CMP reporting for the CCO | Highlight material findings, trends and recurring issues | Report remediation progress and overdue actions | Provide information and analysis for the CCO''s Board reporting Continuous Improvement: Identify trends across monitoring results | Recommend improvements to controls and processes | Keep testing methodologies aligned to regulatory expectations | Monitor regulatory developments relevant to AGCO, AGLC and AGCC | Any other duties as requested by the Company
